Goal Statement
The goal of this program is to improve the knowledge and competence of learners in effort to optimize treatment for patients with Vaccination.

Target Audience
This program is intended for community and clinical pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and other healthcare professionals involved in recommending or providing pneumococcal vaccine services for pediatric and/or adult populations.

Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Summarize prominent pneumococcal serotypes causing disease and severity in pediatric and adult populations

  • Update pediatric and adult pneumococcal vaccine strategies based on the latest developments, scientific data, and recommendations

  • Provide strong pneumococcal vaccine recommendations for adult candidates that promote acceptance in candidate populations with suboptimal uptake rates
