Target Audience

This educational activity is intended for dermatology NPs and PAs, as well as other NPs and PAs, such as those practicing in primary care, who are engaged in the care of patients with systemic mastocytosis.

Program Learning Goal

The goal of this educational activity is to improve the knowledge and competence of NP and PA learners in managing patients with systemic mastocytosis.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

Recognize SM potential diagnosis in patients presenting with a wide range of unexplained symptoms to reduce delays in treatment
Implement expert guideline recommended criteria into the diagnosis and subtyping of SM
Appraise the clinical safety and efficacy data for new and emerging targeted therapies for SM
Develop patient education and shared decision-making strategies to reduce the associated burden of SM
