Target Audience

This activity is intended for pulmonology, critical care, and infectious disease specialists, including physicians, nurses and clinical pharmacists, who care for critically ill patients with carbapenem-resistant gram-negative infections.

Program Learning Goal

The goal of this activity is to improve the knowledge and competence of learners in effort to optimize treatment for patients with Pneumonia.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Reduce time to effective therapy in CRE infections involving diverse resistance mechanisms

  • Optimize antimicrobial regimens for complex infections involving Pseudomonas aeruginosa with difficult-to-treat resistance

  • Develop evidence-based antibiotic management plans for Stenotrophomonas maltophilia infections in critically ill patients
