Target Audience

The target audience is pharmacists, including clinical and health-system, ambulatory care, and community pharmacists, who care for patients with anticoagulant-related major bleeding as well as pharmacy directors, chief pharmacy officers, and other stakeholders in health-system pharmacy.

Program Learning Goal

The goal of this program is to improve the knowledge and competence of learners on evidence-based and real-world management of oral anticoagulant-related bleeding.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

Evaluate guideline recommendations and clinical evidence for the efficacy and safety of oral anticoagulant reversal agents
Design oral anticoagulant reversal management plans based on type of bleed, implicated anticoagulant, laboratory assessments, dosing strategies, and monitoring parameters
