Target Audience

The target audience is pharmacists, including clinical and health-system, ambulatory care, and community pharmacists, who care for patients with anticoagulant-related major bleeding as well as pharmacy directors, chief pharmacy officers, and other stakeholders in health-system pharmacy. 

Program Learning Goal

The goal of this program is to improve the knowledge and competence of learners on evidence-based and real-world management of oral anticoagulant-related bleeding.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Evaluate guideline recommendations and clinical evidence for the efficacy and safety of oral anticoagulant reversal agents

  • Design oral anticoagulant reversal management plans based on type of bleed, implicated anticoagulant, laboratory assessments, dosing strategies, and monitoring parameters
