Additional Information

Please see individual activities for accreditation information. After purchase, this subscription will be accessible from your My Courses tab. Journal club activities for 2020 will be added to the subscription as they launch (there will be four total activities for 2020).    Journal Club activities will review a recent infectious disease journal article and critically evaluate study rationale and design, results, strengths/limitations of the research, and applicability of findings to clinical practice. This activity will be repeated on a quarterly basis with a focus on a different journal article and study design each time.

An open-access journal article will be selected for the activity, and a step-by-step discussion guide created by the faculty will be made accessible to participants. Participants are invited to read the article and review a downloadable discussion guide (as home-study) to consider faculty insights before completing an assessment for CE and/or BCIDP credit. A Twitter chat will be scheduled approximately 2 weeks after activity launch to facilitate additional discussion surrounding the selected article. Participation in the Twitter chat is optional (i.e. not required for CE and/or BCIDP credit) but encouraged to foster a thorough discussion of the article and key learning points.
